How to Apply

St. John XXIII College Preparatory develops and inspires the mind, body, spirit, and imagination of students by providing a traditional Catholic education.

We educate young men and women who will be fully prepared for life's challenges and who will know and understand the teachings of the Catholic Church.

  • 1. Complete the Online Application

    Freshman Applicants
    The application deadline is January 16. The online application form should be submitted by this date. The supplemental documents deadline (teacher recommendation forms, transcript, standardized test scores, and ISEE scores) is January 31.

    If you miss the January 16 deadline, you may still apply. Applications submitted after January 1 will be evaluated on a rolling basis if seats are still available in the incoming freshman class.

    Transfer Applicants
    The transfer application deadline is March 27. Any transfer applications received after March 27 will be evaluated on a rolling basis if there are still seats available in the applicant's grade. 

    Transfer applicants need to set up an interview with Admissions and take a Math placement test.

  • 2. Submit Supplemental Forms

    Supporting Documents Deadline - January 31, 2024
    Teacher recommendations are required for admission consideration.  Print the forms and present them to your child's teacher for completion. Recommendation Forms (PDF) Download.

    Scholarship Application Deadline - January 31, 2024
    We offer academic scholarships based on a specific criterion. These scholarships are based upon St. John XXIII receiving the following: a submitted online application, ISEE scores, transcript including the first semester of the current year, Teacher Recommendations, and a completed online scholarship application.

  • 3. Take the Entrance Exam

    As part of the application process, SJ23 requires that all applicants who are applying as incoming 9th graders take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and submit their scores to the Admissions Office. 11th or 12th grade transfer applicants should submit PSAT results rather than taking an entrance exam.

    The ISEE Entrance Exam is the only exam accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. For more information, click here.

  • 5. Apply for Financial Aid (Optional)

    St. John XXIII is dedicated to offering financial aid to make tuition as affordable as possible for families committed to Catholic education.

Entrance Exam

In order to better accommodate our applicants, St. John XXIII College Preparatory will host the ISEE test. Incoming freshmen must take the ISEE and have their scores sent to St. John XXIII College Preparatory in order to be considered for admission.
