  Our commitment to affordable, quality education is clear: below, you'll see the average financial aid distributed in 2025, demonstrating how we make tuition more accessible.

  • Re-enrollment for current families opens in February 2026 and concludes March 31, 2026.

  • Late re-enrollment begins Tuesday, April 1, 2026.

  • Upon signing the contract, all families will receive a tuition invoice and can either pay the tuition in full at the school or set up a payment plan through Blackbaud Tuition Management.

  • • One payment plan (no additional fee)
    • Two-payment plan: May and October payment dates ($100 additional fee)
    • Ten-payment plan: Monthly payments from May through February ($200 additional fee)

  
  As a reminder, registration is not considered complete until all required forms are completed and the fees are received.

  The 2026-27 Financial Aid Application will open on November 1, 2025.
  
  

  The SJ23 Financial Aid program is designed to make an SJ23 education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. SJ23 is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

  
  To get started, please create an account using the Clarity Application. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly, allowing you to complete it from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, a $60 fee is required to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no extra charge. Use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools. Please remember to return to your dashboard after completing and submitting your Clarity Application.  

  
  

  The deadline for completing the financial aid application, including relevant supplemental documents, is January 31.

  
  

  If you need support while completing your application, in-app support is available through the “Help” button located at the bottom left of the screen. Additionally, you can contact us via email at support@clarityapp.com or by phone at 206-210-3752 (English and Spanish support available). The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

  Tuition Assistance Volunteer Program
  For Families Who Have Received Financial Aid

   

  Purpose

  St. John XXIII is dedicated to offering financial aid to make tuition as affordable as possible for families committed to Catholic education. As part of this partnership, families receiving financial assistance are asked to commit to active volunteers in our school community through the TUITION ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT. The program aims to help advance our mission to form the hearts of young men and women in a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, the pursuit of virtue, and service to others in the Tradition of the Catholic Church.

  
  

  Tuition Assistance Volunteer Commitment

  • Parents and students are asked to volunteer on campus. The number of hours required is based on the financial aid assistance offered. Please refer to the chart below:

  Please note:

  • Students must complete a minimum of 50% of the required total tuition assistance volunteer hours, and parents may complete the remaining required hours.
  • Families are responsible for tracking their hours. Volunteer hours must be approved and signed off by a St. John XXIII faculty, staff, or Parent Association member. Hours must be turned in to Mrs. Tawana Fulmer and are due no later than May 1 of the school year for which financial aid was awarded.
  • To volunteer, parents/guardians must have up-to-date Safe Environment certification on file in the St. John XXIII front office.

• Scholarships

  SJ23 Merit Scholarship
  St. John XXIII College Preparatory offers merit-based scholarships to students who demonstrate excellence in the classroom and on the entrance exam. The scholarship application is open.
  
  Meagen Jones Memorial Scholarship
  The Meagen Jones Memorial Scholarship, established in 2012, is for current students and honors Meagen Jones, who served as the SJ23 Director of Admissions. For more information, click here.

• Blackbaud Tuition Management

  Blackbaud Tuition Management provides tuition management services for private schools.  Services for parents include online account access, tuition and fees invoicing, payment processing, and a Parent Help Center for account questions and making payments.

• Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA)

  The application portal for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) is open from February 4 through March 17, 2026. There is no cost to apply, and every family applying for tuition assistance through SJ23 must also apply for TEFA funds through the State of Texas.

   

  Financial aid awarded to families by SJ23 is not affected by TEFA funding – eligibility for SJ23-specific financial aid remains separate. Any funds awarded directly by the school will not be reduced or changed by a family’s TEFA status.

   

  The TEFA application must be completed by March 17, 2026:

   

  • Gather your information and documentation before accessing the application portal – this will shorten the time you are on the application site. Please note that there is no benefit to being first in line because this program is a lottery based on priority groups. All people in the same priority group have an equal chance of getting funding within their group.
    
    
  • Frequently Asked Questions – the Odyssey AI assistant has become the best way to get to get quick answers and as the program administrators, the Odyssey team has the most up-to-date information – Odyssey Chat Bot (https://chat.withodyssey.com/en). They update the FAQs several times a day based on the questions asked in the Chat bot.
