Lions Compete at TAPPS with Heart

Today, the St. John XXIII Lions clashed with the Grace Community Cougars of Tyler, Texas, in the TAPPS Division II State Championships.
The Lions exhibited unwavering determination. Despite their relentless efforts, neither side could break the deadlock, leading to a 0-0 stalemate after regulation time and two overtime periods, ultimately paving the way for penalty kicks to decide the outcome. Regrettably, the Lions were defeated in the penalty shootout.
However, St. John XXIII is immensely proud of these exceptional young ladies. They epitomize the spirit of champions, not just on the field but in our hearts. Their tireless commitment and unwavering dedication throughout this season set a high standard for future Lions to aspire to.
