Important Message from the Principal, January 26

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends,
 
As you know, the number of positive test results and the subsequent number of students entering the required quarantine period presents significant challenges to our stated goal of providing in-person instruction to our students.
 
The most prudent course of action is to begin a period of fully-remote instruction. We will begin fully-remote instruction Wednesday, January 27, 2021 through Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Students will return on-campus Wednesday, February 10, 2021. All athletics and co-curricular activities will also be postponed until we return. Please watch your email for specific information from your coaches.

As I indicated in my previous messages regarding our health and safety protocols, it takes our entire community working together to help keep our students healthy and in class.  With this in mind, please continue to practice social distancing guidelines to minimize your exposure to the virus.
 
  • Any student who is tested for COVID-19 must stay at home while awaiting the results.  Please notify attendance@sj23lions.org if you are dealing with such a situation.
  • If a student has a close contact exposure outside of school email Nurse Burke, mburke@sj23lions.org or COVID19@sj23lions.org
  • If anyone in the household tests COVID positive, please notify Nurse Burke immediately.
  • Notifications of a close contact exposure at school requiring quarantine will come via phone from Nurse Burke.
  • All COVID-19 protocols can be viewed here.
 
We fully expect that if we follow all of our protocols we will return on-campus Wednesday, February 10 and restart all of the 2nd semester activities.
