Important Dates and Information for Seniors

Dear Seniors and Parents,    

 

As this is a very important year for your student and your families, we have received some questions regarding senior events. This information has been posted on the Facebook Lion Parent news page.  However, to ensure that every Senior parent received this information, it is reproduced below.  Going forward, please note that all information pertaining especially to seniors will be posted in our weekly newsletter.

Caps and Gowns:  Forms were issued during Theology Class to gather the height and weight of seniors.  Most seniors have completed this form.  Mr. Oelkers will be reaching out to the students who still need to submit their size information.  The caps, gowns, and tassel are complimentary from the school.  These items will be distributed to the students at graduation practice and are theirs to keep. 

 

Graduation Announcements:  Dalas Dale the Herff-Jones/Houston Graduation Center

was on campus January 19^th and 20^th during both lunch times handing out graduation packets with information on how to order announcements.  Extra packets are currently available in the office for pickup and a link will be posted in the weekly newsletter.   Purchase of announcements is voluntary.  Parents may also order announcements from other sources if they choose. 

 

Yearbook Ad Deadline:  February 11^th, 2021.  The ad is placed directly with Jostens’s and not through the school.  Go to the Jostens’s website at www.Jostens.com to place a senior ad.  Use the same website for ordering the yearbook.

 

When will cords be issued:  Cords will be given out at graduation practice, as will NHS stoles.

 

When will Caps and Gowns arrive:  They will be given to seniors at Graduation practice.

 

Date of Prom:  Friday, April 16^th.  There will be a noon dismissal.  Must attend the half day to attend the Prom.

 

Date of Senior Sunset:  Friday May 14^th.

 

Date of Senior Fun Day:  Thursday May 20^th, 12noon-4pm, Main Event.  Sponsored by the Senior Traditions Committee.  Fun activities and college prizes.

 

Date of Graduation:  Friday, May 21^st (outside courtyard at 6pm) Mass followed by Commencement.

 

Date of Senior Finals:  May 17^th, 18^th, 19^th, and 20^th .

 

What exemptions will be allowed:  Only Seniors who have attended a Yearlong Course and maintained an A for the entire course.  Only Seniors who have attended a Semester Course and maintained an A for the entire semester. 

 

How to confirm Senior Picture for the Yearbook:  All seniors were directed to schedule a senior portrait session with Prestige on Mason Road for the yearbook and should have also created an online account with Prestige.  Once photos were taken and ready for view, parents/students go to their online account and are directed to select a picture for the yearbook.  For more information contact Prestige at 281-492-9361 or go by their studio located at 2501 Mason Road, Suite 210. The deadline was January 16^th.
