Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends,
I hope you all enjoyed a blessed Christmas and New Year. We are looking forward to seeing your students back on-campus next Monday, January 11, 2021.
With the start of the second semester, it is my pleasure to announce the addition of Mr. Preston Smith to the staff of St. John XXIII College Preparatory as Director of Admissions. Mr. Smith is a member of Saint Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear and holds a bachelor’s degree from Western State College of Colorado.
He has enjoyed a long career in Catholic education, serving in various capacities in teaching and administration in both elementary and high schools. Mr. Smith is not new to the Lion community, having served as our head volleyball coach for the past three seasons. Mr. Smith is also an accomplished musician including recognition as the Indie Music Channel Artist and Album of the Year.
Mr. Smith is excited to take on this role at St. John the XXIII and we are all looking forward to his first day on the job this Friday.
Our parents and students have always been the best ambassadors for SJ23, and I hope you will be ready to assist Mr. Smith and Mrs. Lauren Cowan as you have in the past in spreading the word about our community and our mission.
