Swimmers Win Big

The swim team came away with a big double-win at the annual SJ23 New Year's Classic Saturday, January 6, at the Katy High Aquatic Center.
Other teams in the meet included Awty, Duchesne, St. Thomas, Logos Prep, Frassati, Ft. Bend Christian, St. Thomas Episcopal, and sixteen more.
 
Top-three finishers for the SeaLions were: Junior Adison Seeley, 2nd in 100 back and 3rd in 200 free; Junior Adley Marsh, 2nd in 500 free; Sophomore Canyon Neundorfer, 1st in 200 free and 2nd in 100 back; Junior Korbin Podolak, 2nd in 200 free; Sophomore Adam Tate, 1st in 500 free; Senior Peyton Martin, 2nd in 100 breaststroke; Senior Justice Ruiz, 2nd in 100 butterfly. In relays, Freshman Kaylee Brosch, sophomore Blake Johnson, senior Ana Moore, and junior Emerson Rotta took 3rd in the 200 free; Brosch, Johnson, Seeley, and Marsh took 3rd in the 400 free; Sophomore Chris Echevarria, senior Mark Lloyd, Martin, and Tate took 2nd in the 200 free; Echevarria, Neundorfer, Podolak, and junior Paul Polzer took 1st in the 400 free; and Podolak, Tate, Neundorfer, and Polzer took 2nd in the 200 medley relay.
 
 
The SeaLions are now on a countdown to the TAPPS Region Championships on January 18, to be held at the University of Houston-Campus Recreational and Wellness Center, starting at 10:00 am.
