Cross Country Boys Take 2nd at Cooper Dragon Invitational
The cross country team traveled to Tomball, TX for theCooper Dragon Invitational and delivered some impressive results despite a slick course from recent rain.
The boys' team secured asecond-place finish, giving St. John's a strong challenge for the top spot. Led by standout performances from Matthew Muraski ('27) and Luke Ottosen ('26), the boys are in great form to continue their podium streak at the next meet.
The girls' team finished a respectable fourth overall. Kristen McCain ('28) led the pack, completing the two-mile course in 13:23. Right on her heels was Maria Arriola Alvarado ('28), who clocked a new personal best of 13:30.
The Lions will return to action this Saturday at the Brenham Hillacious Invitational at Brenham High School.
