SJ23 Volleyball: Senior Night Sweep Sparks Lions' Run to District Runner-up Finish
The Lions earned back-to-back district wins in a week that featured Senior Night on Tuesday and their final regular season district matchup on Wednesday.
The Lions celebrated Senior Night and locked down a huge district win in a busy, successful week of competition.
On Tuesday, the Varsity squad hosted St. Pius X, opening the evening by honoring four dedicated seniors. The celebration continued onto the court as the Lions dominated the Panthers with a sweeping 3-0 victory.
The celebrated seniors included:

- Sara Scorsone - Manager
- Camila Artigas - Manager
- Sophia Fruelda - Manager
The team’s effort and the hard work of these seniors were on full display as the Lions closed out their home schedule.
The winning streak continued on Wednesday in another key district game against Incarnate Word Academy - Houston. The Lions roared victoriously again, securing a clean 3-0 win. This victory proved crucial for their district standing, as it propelled the Lions to claim 2nd place and the title of Runner-up District Champions!
