SJ23 Volleyball Concludes Season After Intense Area Playoff Game
The SJ23 Lions saw their season come to a close on Tuesday, November 4th, after hosting the area playoff game against Incarnate Word-San Antonio.
The Lions, the runner-up from TAPP 6A District 4, demonstrated the potential of their young roster. Guided by the experience of their lone senior, Lily Broussard, the team has clearly established a trajectory for continued prosperity in the SJ23 Volleyball program.
The final result was a 3-1 loss to the Shamrocks, but the score was deceiving. The separation in each set was razor-thin. This was most evident in the final set where the teams battled back and forth until the match was decided by a nail-biting 34-32 margin, demonstrating the high-intensity play witnessed in the packed Lions Den. SJ23 celebrates the heart and fight displayed by these athletes and coaches, which meant a great deal to the community.
