Katherine Crockett '20 joins Georgetown Law School
Katherine Z. Crockett, a 2020 graduate of St. John XXIII College Preparatory, recently completed her undergraduate studies at Drake University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Law, Politics, and Society as part of the Class of 2023. Following a year of working as a legal assistant at a local law firm in Ankeny, Iowa, Crockett decided to further her education by pursuing a Juris Doctor.
Crockett has harbored a desire to enter the legal field since her high school days, although she was initially uncertain about the specific area of law she wanted to specialize in. The work experience she gained after college led her to choose appellate litigation with a particular focus on Constitutional Law and Civil Liberties. Crockett will be attending Georgetown Law in Washington, D.C., starting this fall, and she is enthusiastic about her future prospects. After law school, she hopes to secure a judicial clerkship before transitioning to private practice.
St. John XXIII College Preparatory forms the hearts and minds of young men and women in a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, the pursuit of virtue, and service to others in the Tradition of the Catholic Church.
