Kyle Smith, Class of 2016 - Gifting of Alma Mater

Let's extend a HUGE thank-you to our very own Kyle Smith, Class of 2016, for gifting us with our beautiful new Alma Mater! Every week, our students gather after Mass to learn and embrace this new tradition thanks to his generosity.

During his time at SJ23, Kyle excelled in band as a talented French horn player, but he also displayed his dedication on the cross-country team and served as Neri house captain, leaving an indelible mark on our alma mater.

After graduation, Kyle pursued his passion for music and continued his journey at the University of Houston, where he studied Music Education. Today, he proudly serves as a band director in the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District in Richmond, Texas.

Kyle's and his wife Erin eagerly anticipate the arrival of their baby girl, due in March 2024. Together, they actively engage in the parish life at St. Theresa's in Sugar Land.

In his free time, Kyle finds joy in–reading, leisurely walks with his beloved dog, and cherishing moments with his friends and family. Kyle Smith, you are an inspiration to us all, and your contributions to our school and community continue to resonate with gratitude. Thank you, Kyle!
