We are off to a great start in the library! Here are some recent projects student have been working on.
Deacon Baker’s freshman visited the library for an introduction on how to use the Macs, Chromebooks, and copy machine. We also walked through all the special features offered by Google Slides such as such as images, shapes, gradients, object order, shadows, textboxes, etc. This is in preparation for their slideshow group project on the book The Case for Jesus.
Ms. Meneilly challenged her sophomores to create a video advertisement for an ancient empire. Students visited the library to research, record, and edit the project with their groups. The assignment builds upon the research and media skills they learned in Mrs. Ayala’s World Geography class freshman year.
Father Jonathan's honors Theology III class began working on a paper where they will research how a saint and his or her eucharistic devotion has impacted the Church and world, or how their teaching has contributed to the Church's eucharistic doctrine. Students must use the Catechism, Didache Bible, and five other sources including 3 print sources to back up their argument.
St. John XXIII College Preparatory forms the hearts and minds of young men and women in a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, the pursuit of virtue, and service to others in the Tradition of the Catholic Church.
