Ms. Deana Larkins has more than 15 years of experience as a cheer and dance coach. She began competitive cheering and dancing at the age of three. Her areas of dance study include Ballet, Jazz, Acro, and Contemporary. She has trained with Myron Nadel of The Julliard School; Sandra Paola Lopez Ramirez – a renowned performer and educator whose performance and education focus on collaboration, community organization, and activism; Lisa Smith - former soloist for the Austin Ballet; Melissa Melpignano - dance scholar and practitioner; and Valeria Gonzalez - director of Valleto dance. Ms. Larkins continues to train in Ballet and Theatrical dance.
Ms. Larkins follows the teachings of Alvin Ailey and Debbie Allen with the intent to not only teach the passion of dance, but to create spaces of inclusion for all.
