Students studying remotely must do so synchronously – meaning they must login to each of their classes at the scheduled start time and remain present until dismissed by the teacher.
If a student logs into a class and then leaves the class at any time they will be marked unexcused absent because they are not fully participating in the class
Students studying remotely during the second semester will not be able to participate in extra-curricular activities, as outlined in our initial plans.
Additionally, being mindful of everyone’s health and safety, those students studying remotely will not be able to attend on-campus activities, either during the school day or after hours. This must apply to those placed on remote instruction due to quarantine, as well as those who have elected to study remotely.
For those choosing remote instruction, the election period will be in five-week increments, except for the month May. The election periods are below:
First Election Period
January 11-February 12
Second Election Period
February 15-March 26
Third Election Period
March 29-April 30
Fourth Election Period
May 3-May 28
An election form must be completed for each student, regardless of the selection of remote or on-campus instruction.
