Lion Idol Participants Perform at Annual Talent Show

On Thursday, March 30, the annual Lion Idol Talent Contest was held in the Crosthwait Student Center.

Eleven acts vied for top-3 recognition as they showcased their skills in front of the entire SJ23 student body.
 
Performers included Ukelites (Ukulele Club), the Spanish IV class, Riley and Trevor O’Sullivan, Grace Bergeron, Katherine Crocket, Isabelle Rose, Olivia O’Dell, CJ Stephens, Ethan Work, Pedro Barquin, and
members of the Comedy Sportz Team. Additionally, a surprise performance by Mr. Ahmed and Mrs. Barrera delighted the crowd.
 
A panel of judges, consisting of St. John faculty members Anne Barrera, Emily Phillips, Vince Roach, Jerome Llorens, and Kristin Meneilly, made the final decision.  Winners of Lion Idol for 2017 were:
 
1st place - Grace Bergeron
2nd place - Trevor and Riley O'Sullivan
3rd place - The Comedy Sportz Team
