A groundbreaking ceremony will be held for an addition to the original gym at Saint John XXIII College Preparatory. The new addition will include a weight room, public stadium restrooms and a studio/multi-purpose space.
The project is part of the larger Pillars and Cornerstones Campaign to improve the school's operational efficiency. The campaign also includes plans for an expansion of the chapel, athletic lighting, and student center enhancements.

St. John XXIII College Preparatory, a coeducational Catholic high school in Katy, Texas, launched its alumni association on June 7, 2023. The association is open to all graduates of the school, from its founding in 2004 to the present day.
Founded in 2004, St. John XXIII College Preparatory is an accredited, competitive, coeducational, college preparatory school of 401 students located in the greater Houston suburb of Katy, Texas. Its mission is to form the hearts and minds of young men and women in a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, the pursuit of virtue, and service to others in the Tradition of the Catholic Church. Thirty-three teaching faculty are employed, over half holding master’s degrees or higher.
The St. John XXIII College Preparatory community is thrilled to announce that it has received a generous matching grant of $300,000 from a charitable foundation, effective as of May 4, 2023. The grant is intended to support the school's Pillars and Cornerstones campaign, and every dollar donated to the campaign will be matched by the grant.
