Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends,

The atmosphere around campus has been full of excitement and enthusiasm this past week as we have welcomed students for orientation. For this reason, it is with regret that I must share with you that we received confirmation this afternoon of three positive COVID-19 cases amongst our staff. While the last date that one of these staff members was on campus was today, I want to stress that they did not have direct close contact with any students during orientation. As required, we reported this information to both the local health department and the Catholic Schools Office. Any faculty or staff member who has been in close contact with those affected will remain off campus for fourteen days to monitor any symptoms and eliminate further exposure.

Due to the complexity of contact tracing and the time required for accurate test results, I have decided to postpone our school opening for one week, beginning August 27, 2020. This will allow us sufficient time to sanitize and prepare the campus once again for hybrid school opening next week. We want to ensure that our faculty and staff are healthy and ready to welcome your students to campus.

We recognize the need to balance safety and prudence. We are confident that the procedures we have in place will minimize future disruptions once students are back on campus. Our hybrid schedule will allow for better and easier contact tracing should a new problem arise when students return.

As a result, we will be pushing back our start date to next Thursday, August 27. We will follow the same first day of class schedules.

Our new revised schedule for the start of school will be the following:
