TAPPS Golf News

The St. John XXIII Golf team played in the TAPPS Regional Golf Tournament on April 9 and 10.

The girls team - Abigail Davis ‘20, Blake Johnson ‘20, Sophie Flathouse '20, Jenna Goethals ‘20, and Megan Thorseth ‘19 set a school tournament record low score with rounds of 393 and 414. 
 
Abigail had personal rounds of 94 and 91.  Blake set her personal best with 2 rounds of 97. And Megan set a career low with a 93 on day one of the tournament.  Compared to last year the girls team lowered their average by 39 shots and beat their regional score by 70 shots.
 
The boys team - Brett Bailey ’18, Thomas Weber ‘18, Ryan Vigeant ‘19, Marc O’Quinn ‘20 and Harrison Doughty ‘21 had rounds of 404 and 398. 
 
Thomas scored a year low of 94 on day two of the tournament and Harrison had his season best with 102 on day one of the tournament.
