SJ23 Summer School Credit Recovery

  • Any semester of course work failed at St. John XXIII must be remediated during summer school.
  • Courses remediated during summer school will be recorded on the student’s transcript as RPT and does not replace the previous grade earned for the same course.
  • All summer school courses must be approved by administration.

Below is a list of approved Credit Recovery institutes. If you wish to attend another institute, please contact SJ23 Academic Dean, Christine Langeland CLangeland@sj23lions.org for approval:

Students who fail a semester must remediate that semester prior to August 1 of the current year or they may not be allowed to return to St. John XXIII.

All students who have failed and remediated a class must be in contact with the administration prior to the start of the upcoming school year and present a copy of the official transcript in order to be re-enrolled at St. John XXIII.

An official transcript must also be submitted to the registrar upon completion of a remediated course in order to guarantee credit for graduation.  Brenda Nitsch Bnitsch@sj23lions.org

Seniors who fail a graduation requirement will be required to make up the failed course to meet graduation requirements.

Final transcripts and diplomas will not be released until all obligations to the school are fulfilled.
