The Works of Mercy requirement for Seniors will become a part of the Senior Theology class. Every senior will develop a final Works of Mercy project with the guidance of the Theology Department.
Seniors will work on their Works of Mercy hours through their Theology classes during the school year in the form of a group project. This is actually a capstone project related to the Church’s doctrine on Catholic Social Teaching. They will identify a need in the community and then design a project that will fill that need. A researched formal proposal will be required during the first semester and a final video project will complete the project during the second semester.
St. John XXIII College Preparatory forms the hearts and minds of young men and women in a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, the pursuit of virtue, and service to others in the Tradition of the Catholic Church.
