What a wonderful night it was!
St. John XXIII celebrated the Heart of a Lion Gala in style on Saturday night at the Westin -Houston Memorial City. With more than 240 tickets sold and guests that included our first distinguished alumni, Dr. Andrew Emerick ’09 with his wife Ellen Emerick ’09 and their newborn son, the excitement in the room was tremendous.
Thanks to an anonymous challenge of $40,000 to our Paddles Up program, which we quickly reached, this year's gala brought in $200,000 in gifts and sales with expenses of less than $53,000. Thank you to everyone who attended and all those who participated in the auction by bidding on items throughout the evening.
We especially want to thank all of those volunteers who put in numerous hours on the hundreds of details to make February 15, 2020 a night we won't forget. Thank you to all the committee members listed below, your dedication and spirit is truly infectious.
It was a great night to be a Lion!
