Dear St. John Alumni, Alumni Parents, and Friends,
With 2020 off to a robust start, you should be aware of two major initiatives launching this spring:
STRATEGIC PLAN
During our first fifteen years, the community of St. John XXIII has focused on building new spaces to educate young hearts and minds in the Catholic tradition. As we turn the page toward our next phase this spring, we will reflect on what defines the SJ23 community, who are we, and how to best collaborate as we form students and prepare them for the future. Mission Advancement Partners will guide us through a strategic visioning process for the school. This will include answering questions including, but not limited to -
- How does our mission affect how we approach various departments of the school including athletics, academics, the learning center, the house system, and counseling?
- How can we clearly articulate to the world the value of an SJ23 education?
- What does a graduate look like at graduation?
These are very important questions, and by answering them together, we can better share with others the SJ23 story.
BUILDING A LEGACY
To fully implement the Strategic Plan, we recognize the need for sustainable long-term funding, along with the unique challenges facing an independent Catholic high school. Similar schools build lasting endowments over 10, 20 or even 30 years, and the average $1M endowment fund investment provides those schools annual support of $50,000 per year.
As we invite others to share our mission and build long-term stability, there is another way to build the same annual support at SJ23 provided by large endowments.
If 200 alumni, alumni parents, and friends choose to give $23 per month through their bank account or credit card, St. John XXIII would be able to generate the equivalent support of a $1M endowment every year. These gifts can support our Annual Fund or Tuition Assistance programs at St. John XXIII.
