LITURGYAs the source and summit of our lives, all of our liturgical action and worship is centered upon the Eucharist. As such, we celebrate both daily Masses and all-school weekly Masses at St. John XXIII. Students are expected to be dressed in full Mass uniform for our all-school Masses.
*The All-School Mass may be celebrated on other days of the week for Solemnities, Holy Days of Obligation, and/or other special occasions.
Opportunities for students to be involved in Liturgy include serving as Lector, Altar Server, Member of the Choir, Musician, and Sacristan.
SACRAMENTS & DEVOTIONSIn addition to the celebration of the Eucharist, SJ23 offers the following:
- School-wide Penance services twice a year
- Daily opportunities for individual confession
- The Angelus daily (Regina Coeli during the Easter season)
- Morning prayer for the Liturgical Seasons and Celebrations
- After-school prayer
Parents are invited to offer an hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in our chapel. This is a beautiful ministry coordinated and staffed by parent volunteers. To receive weekly emails with the sign-up for adoration, contact Fr. Jonathan Mitchican at
